Cycle paths in Val di Non:
Here there are cycle paths that give you a glimpse of the Brenta Dolomites and the Maddalene, you will almost feel like you are not struggling with such a view in front of your eyes:
- Alta Val di Non cycle path: it is an asphalted or paved cycle path that crosses all the towns of the upper valley. From here the view is magical on the Brenta Dolomites and the pastures of the area. It can be traveled in a ring (about 25 km) between villages, historic centers, meadows, apple orchards and offers many refreshment points.
- Val di Sole cycle path: runs along its path alongside the Noce stream, on whose waters you can see rafting boats, kayaks and canoes.
The track has a total length of about 34 kilometers. It starts from the Mostizzolo bridge, on the border with the Val di Non and leads up to Cogolo di Peio, accompanied in its development by the course of the Noce stream. You can choose various routes, use the Dolomiti Express train to integrate the itineraries or go up comfortably from the valley floor.
Here are some routes suitable for MTBs:
- Rankipino: connects the Passo Palade to the Val di Sole. Brand new itinerary on dirt roads with a well-groomed surface that crosses the section of Val di Non between the Passo Palade, in the province of Bolzano, and Mostizzolo, at the entrance to the Val di Sole. For long stretches of dirt road, it is accessible to all and does not present technical difficulties; there are only a few short steep sections that require attention for the less experienced. The "Rankipino" route crosses five inhabited centers included in the Maddalene area: Senale, Rumo, Preghena, Bresimo and Cis.
- Predaia MTB Tour: 4 ring routes with different difficulties on the Predaia plateau.
Racing bike enthusiasts?
For racing bike enthusiasts crossing the Mendola, the Palade Pass or the Forcella di Brez is something wonderful and for those who are a lover of two wheels, but also of mountain views there is the Brenta ring is something to do not lose!
Val di Non loop with ascent to Rumo: an easy 41 km loop around Lake Santa Giustina which goes north to the town of Rumo. With the exception of some sections, the itinerary takes place along roads with little traffic.
Ring of the lower Val di Non with ascent to Predaia: 42 km ring on mainly secondary roads that covers both sides of the Brenta Dolomites and Predaia, passing at the foot of the majestic Castel Thun.
Giro della Mendola: A tour not to be underestimated for its almost 100 km and over 1500 m in altitude. Tour that starts from Mezzocorona and is spread over 2 climbs both in Val di Non, the first is the Denno climb and the second is that of Passo Mendola. The route embraces the 2 provinces of Trento and Bolzano and the landscape alternates between fields of apple trees, fir woods near the Mendola Pass and the vineyards of the "wine road" in the Adige valley.
